RGN., RM., RSCN., Dip. Couns.

I have worked as a nurse, midwife and in paediatrics in Ireland, England and Kenya before beginning to train in Psychosynthesis counselling and psychotherapy.

The maps and models of Psychosynthesis provide creative ways to work with individuals. These include the use of the imagination, dream work, art therapy, as well as listening, sharing and witnessing the journey of the soul in the therapy space.

Alongside my experience as a health professional, my work is informed by more recent training and experience in the field of parenting support services. All of this has developed my special interest and commitment to working therapeutically with parents and with those who suffer relationship problems and issues around miscarriage, postnatal depression and fertility.

In psychosynthesis therapy we work with people’s suffering and pain in the here and now, whilst seeing the deeper longing for a more complete and creative way to live. It provides a context to work with all aspects of the individual, including body, feelings, mind, sexuality and spirituality. As we struggle with the pain and confusion that we sometimes suffer in our attempt to resolve personal problems, we can also reach for wholeness, transformation and the realisation of our potential.
